About the Image Resizer tool
Different platforms ask for different image sizes: a passport photo for a form, a banner for a website, a thumbnail for a video. The Image Resizer changes the width and height of JPG, PNG and WEBP images directly in your browser.
Enter a width, a height or both. With aspect ratio locked, entering one value calculates the other automatically so the picture is not stretched.
How to use it
- Upload your image.
- Type the new width or height in pixels. Leave the other blank to calculate it automatically.
- Keep Keep aspect ratio ticked to avoid distortion.
- Click Resize, check the preview and press Download.
Common uses
- Preparing photos for application forms with fixed dimensions
- Creating social media posts and profile pictures
- Making blog or store images that load faster
- Shrinking screenshots before sending them
Tips for best results
- Reducing size gives better quality than enlarging. Enlarged images look blurry.
- After resizing, you can lower the file weight further with the Image File Reducer.
- Unlock the aspect ratio only when you really need a specific shape.
